Environmental Art Projects in Devon
These projects are examples of how an artist's eye and traditional stonework can combine to create an extraordinary space. Both designs have been made with help from teenagers and young people. Workshops run alongside have given the participants valuable insights into the history of earthworks and their contemporary re-interpretation.
Seven Cycle Labrynth

This art project used traditional cobbling techniques. The same traditional design of seven concentric circles could be used as an excellent addition to any place where children play or as a focal point for an open air setting.
Amphitheatre
![]()
You can commission an amphitheatre. An amphitheatre is an excellent vehicle for external events, such as a performance or a meeting, or just a beautiful place to sit outside. An amphitheatre has a presence and seclusion to it, it will enhance your environment and create a space that everyone can feel proud of, encouraging social interaction and team spirit - especially amongst those who took part in its creation. The original amphitheatres were built that way to create greater amplification to the voices on stage, so in a school setting the structure aids its function. The stage area of the amphitheatre pictured here is 6m in diameter and the tiered seating can hold approximately 150 people.
